ClickTime has several big-name clients such as American Express and Mensa. The reason? It works.
ClickTime is simple, clean, and straightforward. It’s customizable but makes an effort to make customization unnecessary. There are lots of pre-built reports that will auto-populate with your data and several dashboards that display live streams of any data you might require.

Who ClickTime is best for
Many business owners choose ClickTime in particular because the software is very intuitive to use and learn. Onboarding new employees is a process that takes a few minutes, rather than days. Despite that, it remains a powerful tool at every level – employee, manager, and IT.
The time tracker is robust. You can track employee hours with ease, on or off the computer since you can use the handy mobile app whenever. Time off and scheduled vacations are also easily arranged. Expenses incurred by employees in the course of a project can also be tracked and reimbursed from the same interface.
You can also plan and budget employee time, complete with an approval process for managers. Employees or contractors can adjust their availability. You’re in full control of the project and timeline on which it occurs.
The analytical tools are pretty handy. Those pre-built reports will show you everything from employee performance to their overtime. You can see project costs, miscellaneous expenses, and budgeting models. The invoicing portion integrates with billable hours tracking, and there is also DCAA/Audit trail abilities.

ClickTime pricing
ClickTime has a refreshingly standard pricing structure. It has a simple per-user rate that isn’t too expensive and a few extra features per tier. They offer free trials for the first couple tiers and a free demo to try the latter two. If you opt to pay annually, you can save about 25% on each plan. There is a non-profit discount available too if you inquire about it.
- Starter – $12/month per user, time tracking, email reminders
- Team – $16/month per user, time off management, advanced billing options
- Premier – $28/month per user, project budgeting, goal utilization
- Enterprise – Custom, single sign-on, custom integrations
ClickTime customer support
ClickTime is well known for its legendary support. It’s one of the few that offers phone support 24/7, as well as a prompt email support team. They have, of course, a wide selection of articles that will help a user through most of the interface.
Strangely enough, there’s no online chat option which seems like an omission in an otherwise perfect customer support system.
